Can epoxy floor paint be used to achieve insulation? 

Epoxy floor paint itself is a material with high insulation performance, can withstand strong voltage and arc impact, good insulation safety.  However, the improved antistatic epoxy floor paint has good electrical conductivity, which can provide a smooth channel for charge flow and timely introduce static charge or leakage current into the formation. 

Usually in electronic production environment, computer room, electrical room and other places where electricity is used, they will choose anti-static floor, that is, they will build conductive floor with good conductivity, in order to take away static electricity and leakage current in time.  During the construction of conductive floor, a conductive copper foil network needs to be set up. Then connect the conductive network to the lightning protection grounding network of the building. Add a one-way lightning protection module in the middle to prevent lightning hazards.  Conductive floor using antistatic floor paint, conductive performance is good.  

In some equipment production or production process, use some equipment to generate large current, the overflow current will be introduced to the ground along the circulation direction.  In order to prevent the danger of current, cutting off its flow direction is an effective method, so it is necessary to build a highly insulated insulated floor.  Insulating floors can be constructed using standard epoxy floor paint to prevent the strength of current breakdown from being affected by the thickness of the paint layer.  Therefore, in the construction process, it is necessary to choose the appropriate construction scheme according to the actual needs. 

It is important to note that an insulated floor can effectively block current circulation channels, but static charges generated in the air or voltage accumulated by equipment cannot be dissipated through the floor.  Therefore, it is necessary to connect the device with a good electrostatic dissipation channel to avoid the explosion caused by long-term charge accumulation. 

Insulating floors and conductive floors are definitely not opposites.  No matter which floor is used, the purpose is to serve production and life.  If the two layers work together, many complex production requirements can be met.  For example, in the construction of an important equipment room, the floor for storing devices should be an esd floor with good electrical conductivity, so that the charges in the equipment and the air can be removed in time.  At the level of personnel operating the equipment, the equipment isolates the floor and cuts off the current path between man and machine and the ground, thus improving the safety of the operator, which is a very good idea for floor construction.
